Grub Prevention

This insect lives in the soil and feeds on the root system of your lawn. Applying a granular insecticide will provide needed protection against these insects. This application is applied once every year around June (based on weather). Left untreated, grubs feed beneath the surface of your lawn, causing damage to your lawn’s root system, before emerging from the soil as Japanese beetles. Once above ground, the Japanese beetles will start feasting on your plants, trees and shrubs.

Surface Insecticide

Leaf feeders are a problem in your lawn. Sod webworms, army worms, bill bugs, and clinch bugs are just a few insects that cause damage to the leaf and crown of your turf. A liquid insecticide application is the fastest and most effective way to suppress these invasive insects. These insects can lay between 200 to 600 eggs per day and left untreated, you will start to notice browning of your lawn and an overall poor appearance. Brownsburg Turf uses a pollinator-safe liquid product to suppress surface insects.

Aeration

Aeration is an important key to maintaining a healthy lawn. This process allows water and nutrients access to the root system. Aeration also breaks up compacted clay soils giving the root system space to grow. This helps to create a dense lawn. The aeration process is most effective in the fall when weeds are less likely to be germinating, but can also be beneficial in the spring.

Over Seeding and Lawn Repair

Over seeding is most effective along with aeration, which allows the seed to make contact with the soil. We offer many types of seed and we will introduce the species that blends best with your current lawn. Over seeding is recommended at least ever couple of seasons, but has many benefits even on an annual basis. Cultivating new turf into your existing lawn helps with many issues your lawn may experience. New turf is less likely to have fungus and a dense lawns makes it hard for broadleaf weeds to germinate. module Advanced settings.

Pre-Emergent for Landscaped Areas

Pre-emergent creates a barrier around the landscaped areas of your home, reducing the number of weeds that grow throughout the season. Mulch, gravel, and stone covered areas all benefit greatly from this application and save you time as well as limit the need to use herbicide chemicals. We apply pre-emergent in the early spring and, depending on the weather, a second application can be applied mid-summer.

Over Seeding and Lawn Repair

Trees and shrubs around your lawn are an important part of the beauty of your lawn and add value to your home. Unfortunately, there are many insects and diseases that can kill these plants and trees at an alarming rate if left untreated. The cost to prevent a problem is far less than the cost of replacing your trees or shrubs. Insects and disease can be controlled through our Tree and Shrub Program which includes fertilizer, insecticide, fungicide, and dormant oils. These applications are time sensitive and occur at different times throughout the season. Starting a specialized program for your property in early spring will provide year-long protection.
